3. sidewall point vulcanization repair

Due to the difference of structure and organization, the repair process of damaged sidewall of tire crown is more complicated and has more technical requirements. Now the market mainly uses point vulcanization repair method. Specific as follows:

1. Remove the foreign material and measure the size of the damage from the inside to confirm whether it can be repaired.

2. Clean the surface around the internal wound to ensure that there is no secondary injury.

3. Use a low-speed grinder to cooperate with a rubber cutter to remove a large area of rubber around the wound.

4. When the steel wire is close to the carcass layer, use a low-speed grinder and a rubber brush for polishing. Moreover, when approaching the carcass layer steel wire, it is necessary to use the overcoat brush, because the use of the overcoat brush will not damage the carcass layer steel wire.

5. Separate the damaged steel wire and rubber with a cutter.

6. Use a high-speed grinding machine with a carbon steel cutting tool to remove the damaged steel wire. Experienced masters will be careful at this step to avoid expanding the scope of damage.

19. Install the tire on the point vulcanizer and set the vulcanization time.

The preheat time and "a" value can be provided by the vulcanizer and raw material suppliers.

20. Check the state of the vulcanized rubber with a probe cone.

23. Apply the room temperature curing agent to the polished surface and wait for it to dry.

24. Partially remove the patch protective film and align the center of the patch with the center of the wound, noting that the bead expansion arms must be relaxed before the patch is applied.

25. Fit the patch on the wound. When placing the patch, the direction of the arrow on the patch surface must be perpendicular to the beads on both sides, I .e. parallel to the carcass layer wire.

26. Press the patch outward from the center to ensure that no air is contained.
